Olmo signed from RB Leipzig in August, but was ♈only registered for the first half of the season with Barca unable to ꧃meet LaLiga's wage cap restrictions.

The four-month allowance enabling the Blaugrana to allocate a portion of their wages to register the mid🐠fielder will expire at the end of December.

The Commercial Court number 10 of Barcelona has subsequently rejected the club's request to provisionally register the 26-year-old for the remainder of thꦗe campaign.

And LaLiga welcomed the court's verdict.

"La Liga has today learned of the ruling... rejecting the request for the provisional registration of Dani Olmo until June 30, 2025, on the grou💫nds that none of the necessary conditions for the adoption of an interim measure have been met," a sꦺtatement read.

"T🎀he ruling also stresses that 'the purpose of allowing additional spending is so that a long-term injury does not weaken the team's competitiveness, not to use a long-term injury to allow the registration of players whose salaries exceed the limit, which is what FC Barcelona🌺 is attempting'."

Barcelona will rep🌜ortedly appeal𒅌 the court's decision on Monday, a day before the deadline.

Olmo, who helped S🌄pain win Euro 2024, has played a key role for the Blaugrana this season, scoring s꧙ix goals in 15 appearances.
