The Bees made it back-to-back Premier League away wins after prevailing 2-1 at Selhurst Park, where Kevin S😼chade was also on target.

The contest swung in Brentford's favour on the hour mark when the referee 🍨pointed to the spot af🐟ter Maxence Lacroix tripped Nathan Collins in the box.

Mbeumo struck the post wi🐟th his initial penalty but, after Marc Guehi was penalised for encroachment following a VAR r𝔍eview, the forward made no mistake with his retaken spot-kick as he sent Dean Henderson the wrong way.

The forward has now been successful with a♔ll nine Premier League spot-kicks he has taken for Brentford, while becoming only the fifth player in the division to take nine or more and score all of them.

And Frank was pleased with the way Mb🥃eumo held himself together afterꦡ missing his first attempt.

"I would wan🗹t him to take it again," he said. "He's our best penalty taker. It's all ab꧑out trusting the process, and he did."

"[It was a] tough g🌠ame against a very good Palace team🔥," the Brentford boss added.

"ඣI knew it would be very difficult. We defended very well and gave basically nothing away. We handled their front three very well. [A] very solid performance."

Mbeumo agreed with the importance of owning the process and putting his hard work behind the sc๊enes into practice.

"I work on them a lot and I had the chance to take a second one," he said. "I just focused on myself. It's all about mentality at this point. I know I work a lot⛦, and I just needed to do the bu♋siness.

"I think [three points] a🌜re massive, we know it is really hard to play. They defended really well, really compa🦩ct. The calmness and the attitude we showed today helped."

Meanwhile, Palace suffered tꩵheir first defeat in seven matches across all competitions, despite Romain Esse giving them hope by scoring on his Premier League debut in the 85th minute.

However, Oliv൲er Glasner was left to rue his side's unsuccessful late push for a second goal to snatch a share of the spoils.

"Both teams neutralised each other for a lot of the time," he said. "It looked like the team who made the first mistake would lose. We couldn't꧙ clear the ball and caused a penalty.

"It didn't feel like we were close to the equaliser. We knew it would be a long [period of stoppage time], and I think we staꦐrted too early with the lon💞g balls.

&qu🌄ot;We had to prepare for the situation. We went too straight, and it's not too difficult to defend.

"The performance was o🅰kay; not♍ brilliant, but not too bad. We have to work."
