On Saturday, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf set an unwanted Cricket World Cup record as he claimed the numero uno tag of conceding over 500 runs in a single World Cup edition. Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka came close to achieving the feat but finished his 2023 World Cu𝓡p campaign just a run behind with 525 runs in nine innings.
As for Rauf, the pacer ended the tournament with 15 wickets to his name but his economy rate was at 6.74.

Earlier, England posted a massive 337 for nine against Pakistan in their last game of what has been a forgettable World Cup campaign, on Saturday at the Eܫden Gardens in Kolꩵkata.
Batting first, Jonny Bairstow (♎31) and Dawid Malan (59) added 82 runs for the first wicket before star all-rounder Ben Stokes smashed 84 runs in 76 balls with the help of 11 fours and two sixes. Joe Root compiled a neat 60 in 72 balls. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took three wickets for 64 runs while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Wasim took two apiece.
However, the Men In Green needed to achieve the target in 6.4 overs but could not as they are💖 officially out of the tournament.
