It's a new low for one of the greatest teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered a third successive defeat in IPL 2022, and this is their worst-ever start in a season. On Sunday, CSK captain Ravinder Jadeja won the toss and opted to bowl first at Mumbai's iconic Brabourne Stadium. But Liam Livingstone played a blinder of an innings, hitting 60 off 32 balls, and together with Shikhar Dhawan (33 off 24) helped Punjab Kings (PBKS) post a good score of 180/8. Then, Mayank Agarwal & Co. produced an inspired bowling performance. Led by debutant Vaibhav Arora (2/21), PBKS dismissed CSK for 126 runs in 18 overs to register a facile 54-run win. Rahul Chahar (3/25) and man of the hour, Livingstone (2/25 in 3 overs) gave the finishing touches despite Shivam Dube's 30-ball 57. Veteran MS Dhoni hit 23. Punjab Kings have now won two of their three matches and are now fourth in the IPL table with four points. Defending champions Ch🤪ennai are winless in three.
