Bumrah also became the bowler with the best bowling average (19.56) to take 200 Test wickets. It means he takes 19.56 balls for a wicket on average. Malcolm Marshall (20.9) is the second on the list of best averages in Test cricket with more than 200 wickets. Following him, are Joel Garnꦿer and Curtly Ambrose.

He is playing in his 44th Test match and already has 202 Test wickets. Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar and former Australia coach and playe💃r Justin Langer spoke highly of him after the stu𝓀mps on Day 4 at the MCG.

Manjrekar called him 'Genie' which provides wickets whenever India are in a crunch situation. He talked about some of his dismissals on Day 4 which helped India halt the hosts in the🌌ir second inni꧙ngs.

"There's just no weakness this man has. It's almost like he is this genie that Indian cricket has brought as a gift and you make a wish and you get it. And it's always Bumrah providing it, be it the T20 cricket Worl𒐪d Cup or 50 over World Cup, or it's a match like this, a crucial game on a page where a lot of the bowlers 🗹struggle to get anything out of it. He was getting lateral movement. He's cleaned up Alex Carey, as if, he's a number 10, 11 batter.

Bumrah's strike rate of 42.4 - a wicket every seven overs - is only behind Waqar Younis, Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada, all 𝔍masters with both new and old ball.

Talking about his average, Manjrekar said, "And when you look at the average, I mean, this is unbelievable. We talk about Curtly♌ Ambrose. I had the privilege of playing against Malcolm Marshall. Now those are great names, and an average of under 20 after 200 wickets is just ⛎mind-boggling stuff from Jasprit Bumrah."

Langer called him a right-handed♚ Wasim Akram and talked🦄 about how the Australian team feels whenever he comes to bowl every time.

“I’ve spoken about Jasprit being like a right-handed version of Wasim Akram, who I thought was the greatest bowler I was ever fortunate to play against. And now, when you look at those numbers, Jasprit Bumrah has𒉰 a better average than all the legends of the game.

We’ve seen that throughout thi♍s series. Every time he comes to Australia, he proves he is a superstar. Every time he bowls, the Australian dre☂ssing room sits on the edge of their seats, just praying that he finally has an off day!”

Bumrah took four wickets in the second innings as Australia managed to bat out on the fourth day with the last-wicket pair still batting. Nathan Lyon is unbeaten on 41 and Scott Boland is batting on 10 not out. The hosts have a bi♔g lead of 333 runs with the final day of play left.
