We Have Formulated Best Policies In Country To Nurture Talented Athletes, Says Kejriwal

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said there is no shortage of talent in our country and that all governments need to work together to nurture ൩them, a statement from Delhi government said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday felicitated Delhi's Asian Games medal winners and said the government will prov🦄ide complete assistance to the athletes. 

He said there is no shortage of talent in our country and that all governments need to work to💜gether to nurture them, a statement from Delhi government said. 

The chief minister ho♕noured 11 athl𒐪etes and three coaches from Delhi who achieved remarkable success at the Asian Games 2022. 

During a ceremony, Kejriwal prꦗesented cash incentives amounting to Rs 1 crore for gold medalists, Rs 75 lakh for silver and Rs 50 lakh for bronze medalists under the cash incentive scheme. 

"We have formulated 𝓰best policies in country to nurture talented athletes. Now we will further improve them. After winning medals, whole world comes forward to honour athlete, but no one helps during struggle," Kejr𓂃iwal said. 

"Our government provides financial assistance to struggling athletes und🔯er 'Play and Progress' and 'Mission Excellence' schemes," he added. 

He further stated that the Delhi government incentivises athletes who win medals in competitions like Olympics and Asianღ Ga﷽mes, in order to boost their morale. 

"Around 172 children are being prepared for 10 Olympic sports at Delhi Sports School, and they will also be awarded degrees in sports. It is my appeal to athletes across country, join Sports 𝔉University and help nurture talented children," he said. 

Delhi Minister Atishi said in the past nine years, Kejriwal💧 government has introduced several schemes, including 'Mission Excellence', to nurture athlete talent. 

"Whenever our athletes need any kind of support,꧟ Kejriwal government wil﷽l always assist them," she said.
