On the morning of Republic Day in 2001, residents of Bhuj woke up to an earth-shattering disaster that took nearly 20,000 lives. In the 22 years since the Bhuj earthquake, the lives of people in Kutch, the district devasted by it, have changed but the psyches of the people still carry the fear of that day.
