The iconic tableaux parade showcasing India's diverse culture and heritage is set to impress the viewers again today at Kartavya Path during the 76th🥃 Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. The 75 years of enactment of the Constitution is the focus of Republic Day celebrations this year, the broader theme for the tableaux is 'Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas'.

According to a press release by the Pres Information Bureau, tableaux of 16 States/Union Territories (UTs) and ᩚᩚ𓆉ᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ10 Ministries/Departments of the Union Government will roll down on Kartavya Path this year. Uttar Pradesh focuses on the ongoing Maha Kumbh mela for their tableau this year, while Madhya Pradesh is promotes its cheetah reintroduction project.

What Does R-Day Celebrations Entail This Year?

The January 26 parade will begin in the morning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.

After the national anthem, balloons with banners of the official logo of th♈e 75th year of the Constitution will be r☂eleased. The event will conclude with a flypast by 47 aircraft.

Indonesian Presid🃏ent Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest at this year's celebrations.

The ce🍷remonial parade at Kartavya Path will be heralded by 300 cultural aﷺrtistes playing 'Sare Jahan Se Achha' on musical instruments representing different parts of the country

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on January 20 had said a "160-member marching contingent and 190-member band coꦚntingent from Indonesia" will take part in the parade along with the contingents of Indian armed forces.

Which States Are Showcasing Tableaux This Year?

The sixteen states and union territories which are showcasing their take on the Swrnim Bharat theme include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadar and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and others.

For those states and union territories not selected for the Kaꦗrtavya Path, they will have the opportunity to display their exhibits at Bharat Parv, which will be held at the Red Fort from January 26 to 31.

Bihar

The tableau of Bihar will be part of the ceremonial parade after many years. It depicts the ancient Nalanda un💦iversity and its revival☂ as a new institution and Buddhist and cultural heritage of the region.

The overarching theme of 'Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas' has been celebrated by various staﷺtes, Union Territories, and several ministries and departments through 🦋their tableaux.

Uttar Pradesh

The tableau of Uttar Pradesh, showcases the grandeur of Maha Kumbh 2025, portraying a metaphorical 'Sangꦕam' of 'virasat' and🌌 'vikas'.

Ram Manohar Tripathi, deputy director in the Department of Information & Public Relations of Uttar Pradesh government said, "It is a matter of honour and great pride that Maha🤪 Kumbh, our great heritage will be showcased on Kartavya Path while the religious gathering is currently underway in Prayagraj."

"With depictions of 'Samudra Manthan', 'Amrit Kalash' and holy men bathing on the banks of the confluence, people will get a feel of 'Sangam' during the Republic Day Parade. And, this tableau alsཧo depicts various development initiatives of the UP government, thus it is sort of a 'sangam' of 'virasat' and 'vikas'," Tripathi told PTI.

A troupe of artistes dressed in traditional attire performed fo𝔉r mediapersons while one of them blew a conch and a fee others played 'damru'.

The Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years at th🎃e confluence of the sacred Ganga, the Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati in Prayagraj, and is billed as one of the largest congregatio🐠ns of humanity on earth.

Highlighting the robust technological and digital preparations for Maha Kumbꦰh, the tableau also showcases the state🍌-of-the-art Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) for efficient security and crowd management at the Kumbh.

Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh's tableꦛau for the Republic Day function in New Delhi this year will have the ambitious cheetah reintroduction project as its theme, an official said on Thursday.

The big cats were declared extinct in the country seven decades ago. To revive their population, 20 cheetahs -- 8 from Namibia and 12 from South Africa -- were brought to the Kuno Na💦tional Park (KNP) in MP's Sheopur district in September 2022 and February 2023, respecti✤vely, as part of the reintroduction project.

MP Public Relations Departme✅nt joint director Sanjay Saxena told PTI, "The theme of♕ the state's tableau is 'Cheetah -The Pride of India'. It will showcase (dummies of) more than 10 cursorial animals with a couple in a natural habitat."

"Madhya Pradesh is displaying its historic achievement of the reintroduction of ch💎eetahs. Their number (in KNP) has swelled 🦹to 24," said Saxena, who is also the nodal officer for the state's tableau.

The other states and union territories who are set to showcase their unique culture and heritage include Goa will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the s๊tate, while Haryana will 🎉present a tableau focused on the Bhagavad Gita.

Tripura's theme wi༺ll be "Eternal Reverence: The Worship of 14 Deiꦬties in Tripura," centered around the Kharchi Puja.

Delhi to focus on the importance of Quality Education while Jammu and Kashmir's tableau is sဣet against a stunning backdrop depicting its scenic beauty, rich cul♛tural heritage.

West Bengal will showcase "Lak𒐪shmir Bhandar & Lok Prasar Prakalpa,"🍎 with the theme "Empowering Lives and Fostering Self-Reliance in Bengal."

Dadar and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu will honor the Daman Aviary Bird Park aꦺnd the Kukri Memorial, paying tribute to the brave sailors of the Indian Nav𝓡y.

Andhra Pradesh 🦩will present "Etikoppaka Bommalu," a tribute to eco-friendly wooden toys.

Chandigarh will showcase a tableau highlighting "A Harmonious Blend of Heritage, Innovation, and Sustainability," while Karnataka will foꦜcus on "Lakkundi: Cradle of Stone Craft."

Punjab’s tableau will represent the state as "the land of knowledge and wisdom," and Gujarat will present "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas," c🏅elebrating the fusion of heritage and development.

Jharkhand’s theme, "S🌃warnim Jharkhand: A Legacy of Heritage and Progress," will spotlight the state’s rich cultural legacy and its journey of progress.

What Are The 10 Ministries & Departments Showcasing?

The ministries and departments belonꦐging to the Central government is also set to showcase different themes with their tableaux during the parade including the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Ministry of Rural Development and others.

Ministry of Earth Sciences

The Ministry of Earth Sciences' tableau showc🍨ases 150 years of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), its transformative journey and the future roadmap, in what will be a first appearance for its tableau at the annual ceremonial parade.

Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences M Ravichandran and IMD's Director General Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra visited the Rashtriya Rangshala Camp on Wednesday and 𒁃took stock�� the ministry's tableau.

"The front section depicts the ministry's cyclone awareness efforts, featuring a striking depiction of a cyclone. The middle segment portrays initiatives taken for farmers and the impact in the field of agriculture. The rear section portrays the ministry's impact on various other commu꧑nities and the future roadmap," Ravichandran told PTI.

Ministry of Culture

From an ancient Tam🦄il musical instrument depicted rotating on a symbolic Konark wheel to an𓆉 emblematic portrayal of a 'Golden Bird' symbolising India's cultural heritage and economic progress, the Ministry of Culture's Republic Day tableau is a celebration of the country's rich and storied past.

The grand t🅰ableau that will be showcased by the minꦕistry on the Kartavya Path is a "magnificent celebration of India's cultural diversity and creativity".

Inspired by the Prime Minister’s mantra of 'Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi', the tableau beautifully showcases the na💛tion's rich cultural ✃heritage and the vast possibilities of sustainable development, the ministry said in a statement.

The ancient Tamil musical instrument 'Yaadh' beautifully placed on "a potter's wheel (depicted with Konark wheel of Odisha), represents the depth and continuity of our musical tradition. And, the kinetic 'Kalpavri𝐆ksha' which transforms int🎉o a 'Golden Bird' symbolises creativity and progress, it said.

Union Culture Secretary Arunesh Chawla told PTI, "The tableau conveys the message of realising the vi💦s♋ion of a developed India by 2047."

The PIB in its press release said that the Department of 🍸Social Justice and Empowerment will display a tableau centered around the Constitution of India, emphasizing its role in India's Virasat (Her♛itage), Vikas, and as a Path-Pradarshak.

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs will focus on "Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh," celebrating tribal pride. The Min𝐆istry of Women & Child Develop🧜ment will showcase the multifaceted journey of women and children under the Ministry's comprehensive schemes.

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy's tableau will highlight ဣ"Swarnim Bharat: Heritage and Development," while the Ministry of Rural Development 🎃will focus on the inspiring story of "Lakhpati Didi."

The Depart🌼ment of Financial Services will present India’s remarkable financial evolution.

Th༺e Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying will pay tribute to India's indigenous bovine breeds, linking them to sustainable rural growth.

Central Public Works Department will feature a flower tableau marking 75 y💧ears of the Constitution of India.
