The Border Security Force notified that a Pakistani intruder was shot de♌ad along the international border in the Pathankot district of Punjab on Monday. This incident occurred ahead of India's Independence Day amidst the security getting beefed up across the country.
According to reports, at about 3 am, BSF personnel detected irregular🎐 movement on the intཧernational border near Simbal Sakol village of Pathankot district.
An officer told HT, “Our t♊roops challenged the intruder, but he did not stop and continued mo🏅ving ahead towards border fencing. Sensing imminent threat and to stop further misadventure, BSF troops fired upon the miscreant in self-defence neutralising him on the spot."
In addi𝔍tion, a team of senior BSF officers from national capital arrived in Punjab for the purpose of monitoring☂ security arrangements on the international border.
A meeting with border off🅘icials from Punjab was held by the Force's Director General, Nitin Agarwal.
In the past four days, there have been two similar cases at theꩲ Punjab border. On August 11, BSF personnel near Thehkalan village of Tarn Taran district shot down a Pak iඣntruder who was trying to enter the Indian territory.
W❀ith the occasion of Independence Day, Punjab has been placed on maximum alert and is being closely monitored by the Police and Border Security Force for all suspected movements in addition to drones across the border.
