The two people have been killed in a 🐠latest spree of violence in Manipur during the past 24 hours.
The first incident took place in Imphal East on Saturday when Lucy𒈔 Maring, a 55-year-old Naga𒆙 woman who was ailing from mental illness, was found murdered in Imphal East, reported The Hindu.
The report said the woman was shot in the h𝐆ead and her face was disfigured.
The report said ni🀅ne accused including five women have been arrested in co꧙nnection with the case.

The United Naga Counc꧟il (UNC) has said the victim was “forcefully apprehended” by a woman group and handed over to a private militia that killed her.
It has called♏ fo🌱r a shutdown today in all the Naga areas of Manipur to condemn the incident.
It said since the beginning of the conflict between the Meitei and the Kuki communities, Nagas have maintainedꦍ that peace must prevail.
It called for exemplary punishment for the culprits ♒behind the killing of the Naga woman.
The Nagas, comprising 20 tribes, are the second-largest community in M♋anipur after the non-t﷽ribal Meitei, who dominate the Imphal Valley.
The report said in another incident, around 40 to 50 ܫarmed miscreants stormed Laimaton Thangbuh, a Kuki village in Kangpokpi district in the hills, where ಌa 34-year-old man identified as Jangkholun Haokip was killed.
It said there was a reported exchange of fire between two gꦐroups in the foothills.
It said the village sighted the armed miscreants and ♉exchange of fire ensued between the two groups.
“An army unit deployed in the vicinity rushed to the incident site and cut off the exit routes of tꦺhe armed miscꦑreants,” it said.
It added: “A huge mob of civilians, predominan❀tly women, congregated in the foothills and security forces pushed back the mob frꦯom entering the hills. The miscreants however fled the area.”
The ethnic violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities that erꦗupted in Manipur on May 3 has claimed more than 140 lives so far.
