The BJP is set to claim a massive win in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly election, as trends show saffron party leading on staggering 159 seats in the country's heartl☂and.
Madhya Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of 76.22 percent in this election which iꦚs slightly more than voter turnout of 2018 recorded at 7🐟4.97 percent.
In Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly out of the 230 seats, 47 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 35 for Scᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚheduled Castes.
Among the heavyweights, Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan was leading from Budhni and his predꦉecessor, the Congress' Kamal Nath, was ahead in his bastion of Chhindwara.
Earlier today Kamal 🍌Nath had declared himself "very confident" of a Congress win.
On Thursday too Nath had played down exit polls' prediction. In a post on X (formerly Twitter) he said, "I want to remind all Congress wor🎐kers of their strength... it is because of your hard work and dedication the public has voted overwhelmingly... public will put a stamp on the Congress government."
However, his rival Shivraj Chouhan was confident the BJP would return to power and form the government for a fifth time. This morning he said the party would🅺 retain 🦄power with a commanding majority.
"... I am conf👍ident that with the blessings of the people and the able leadership of Prim🍃e Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP will form government again with a full majority," he had said.
