The latest data by the Centre-led Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said that the air quality of Delhi on Sunday sli🎃pped to the 'very poor' category as the Air 🅘Quality Index (AQI) climbed to 307 at 8 pm.
It has been reported that the Centre-led✅ panel is all set to implement the 11-point action plan in the National Capital Rꦉegion (NCR), as outlined in Stage-II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
As per the GRAP, stage-II is invoked across the NCR region if the average AQI either touc✨hes or is expected to touch an index value of 301.
Ministry calls for meeting
In a bid to take the s﷽ituation under control, Delhi's Environment Minister Gopal Rai has also convened a meeting of all the departments which are involved in the mitigation measures under the central government's pollution control plan.
On October 20, a 'Run against pollution' from Delhi Secretariat to Rajghat was also organised by the Delhi go𒁏vernment to boost public participation in curbing falling AQI.
Speaking abou✅t the programme, Rai said, "CM Kejriwal has announced a 15-point Winter Action𝓰 Plan to tackle pollution from vehicles, dust, stubble burning and firecrackers. To increase the participation of people in this effort, 'Run against pollution' was organised from Delhi Secretariat to Rajghat."
