BJP leader’s son in Madhya Pradesh has been named among the four accused of gang-raping a w♒oman in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district.
The reports said the four accused have also sexually assaulted the ౠwoman’s minor sister.
The incident sparked protests in the area with relatives and locals dema꧟nding action against the accsued.
Following the protest, the two of th🍰e accused have been arrꦚested, reported NDTV.
The arꦉea where the allege♚d incident took place is the home turf of Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, who represents the Datia Assembly constituency.
“One of the victims tr📖ied to kill herself by hanging. She was rushed to a hospital where she is under treatment. Al♏l the accused are residents of Unnao police station area,” the report said.
It also said the survivors and the accused are students, and the police is investigating the matt⭕er.
A case u🔯nder relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and also the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offenc✃es (POCSO) Act, has been registered against the accused, it added.
"The co🍃mplainant said she and her elder sister were abducted by four persons. The accused t🐈ook them to a house, where they raped her elder sister," the report said.
A complaint w♒as lodged by the woman's younger sister, it stat🐟ed.
Following the incident, the victim and her younger sister returned home, where the victim tried to commit suicide, the r🍸eport mentioned.
The woman was later admitted to a hospital in Jhansi in neighbouring U♛ttar Pradesh, it said.
It added as per the First Information Report (FIR), the accused also sexually abused the complainant.
