On Amit Shah's Controversial Remarks

Mallik🌃arjun Kharge stated that a person becomes a minister by taking oath of the Constitution and if he insults it, he has no right to remain in the Cabinet.

Kharge said, "We want that Amit Shah quit his post 𝔍and if he doesn't, I🤡 want to tell the prime minister that if he has even little respect for Babasaheb, he should dismiss Amit Shah from his post before this midnight."

"If there is no resignation, there will be protests all over the country. Babasaheb Ambedkar ji 🍌belongs to everyone because he used to talk about ev🎶ery person of society including Dalits, the oppressed and the deprived. He had sympathy for everyone," he added.

The Congress chief said that all parties raised their issues during the debate on the Constitution in both houses but, "what Amit Shah ji said in ♔Parliament was extremely c💮ondemnable and unfortunate. He has insulted a Dalit hero who is revered by all. He taunted opposition parties on Ambedkar."

Further Kharge stated, "I am compelled to say that these people do not respect the Constitution. When they talk of heaven and hell, they talk with a mindset of Manusmriti, as such things are written there. Their g🐼urus and other founders spoke like this. It is not their fault, but the school they come from."

Kharge also criticised the prime minister over Sha꧒h's remarks, saying that rather than telling the home minister that his statement was wrong, Modi made a series of posts on X to support him.

But then PM Modi and Ho🌸me Minister Shah are close friends and they hide each other's "sins", the Congress chief said.

The BJP🌠-RSS and their leaders in the past never respected the Constitution, he claimed.

"They never accepted the Constitution, they burnt its copies. These people di♊d not even adopt the tricolour. They had stated that the Constitution does not have the words of Manusmriti, so they will not accept it. In protest against this, they also bur🥀nt the effigies of Nehru and Ambedkar," he claimed.

He concluded by saying, "if BJP and its leaders had respec🙈t for Ambedkar, they wou♏ld never have said such things."

Amit Shah Blames Congress For 'Twisting' His Words

On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah on the same evening held a press conference where he accused the Congress of twisting facts and distorting his comments rega💙rding B. R. Ambedkar.

He added that the Congress in the past has also misrepresented his and even PM Narendra Modi's comments to spread confusio⛎n and mislead people.

Speakign to the🐽 reporters in Delhi, Shah said, "I condemn the Congress for twisting facts. Why did it happen? It happened because BJP leaders spoke on ho🥃w the NDA governments upheld the Constitution and established with facts that the Congress is anti-Ambedkar, anti-Constitution and anti-reservation."

The senior BJP leader said the Congress also insulted V D Savarkar and blew to smithereens the values e꧟nshrined in the Constitution by imposing Emergency.

"When all these♕ facts came out, the C🅰ongress used its old tricks and made an effort to mislead the society by presenting twisted facts," Shah added.

Sh🐟ah said he comes from a party that can never insult Ambedk♊ar.

When asked about Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's demand for his resignation, the home minister said that 🐻he can quit if this will make the Congress president happy but it will never solve his problems.

He has to remain in his chair, a reference to his party being in the opposition, for 15 more yeꦜars, Shah said.

Kharge, he added, has acted under Rahul Gandhi's pressure to be part of this "malicious" campaign a🐈gainst him by distortin⛄g his views on Ambedkar.

What Was Amit Shah's Controversial Remark?

Criticising the Congress for repeatedly taking the name of B R Ambedkar, Shah had said in his remarks on Tuesday that had they taken God's name so many times 🦄they could have earned a place in heaven.

Amit Shah during his speech at the Parliament said, "Abhi ek fashion ho gaya hai - Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedka🗹r, Ambedkar, Ambedkar. Itna naam agar bhagwan ka lete to saat janmon tak swarg mil jata (It has become a fashion to say Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, Ambedkar, 🃏Ambedkar'. If they had taken God's name so many times, they would have got a place in heaven)."

He also saiﷺd the BJP is happy that the Congress is taking Ambedkar's name but the party should𒉰 also speak about its real sentiments towards him.

The home ministerꦚ pointed out how Ambedkar had to resign from the first Ca🦋binet citing his disagreement with the then Congress-led government's policies including Article 370.

The home minister also said most of the memorials of Ambedkar were built꧋ when the BJP came to power.

"How appropriate is it for you to use the name of a person for vote bank politics ♊whom you used to oppose?" Shah had 💝asked Kharge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the defense of his cabinet colleague, hitting out at the Congress party in a scathing post on social media. “In Parliament, HM Amit Shah Ji exposed the Congress’ dark history of insulting Dr. Ambedkar and ignoring t𝔉he SC/ST Communities. 🐻They are clearly stung and stunned by the facts he presented, which is why they are now indulging in theatrics! Sadly, for them, people know the truth!,” he wrote on X.

Modi accused the Congress of trying to hide its “misdeeds” with “malicio🅘us lies” and dismissed the allegations against Shah as an attempt to tarnish the BJP’s record.

Several Congress leadersও across the national along with other opposition party leaders have condemned Amit Shah's 🐼remarks and have urged the Home Minister to apologise for the same.
