The🥃 Election Commission of India will be announcing the date and schedule for the much-awaited Delhi assembly elections today. As per the latest inputs, the announcement will be made during a press conference later in the day at 2 PM.

Delhi is set to head to the polls across all 72 constituencies likely in the month oꦉf February. Early elections were called for the national capital after AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal stepped down from his role as Chief Minister following his re⭕lease from Tihar Jail.

For the 2025 elections, it's🌳 a three-way fight between the BJP, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress.

The AAP-Congress alliance rumours were dismissed once Kejriwal announced that the incumbent party would be fig𒈔hting the polls solo.

All three parties have released their candidat♌e lists for the elections acros꧃s the 70 assembly constituencies.

From AAP, top party leaders Arvind Kejriw♍al, Atishi, Satyendra Kumar Jain, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Amanatullah Khan are in the fray for the assembly polls this year.ꦦ

Strategically, the incumbent party's first list include names of six turncoats from the BJP - Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha, and BB Tyagi and former Congress leaders Chaudhry ꦗZubair Ahmad, Veer Dhingan and Sumesh Shokeen.

From the BJP, senior leaders such as Ra꧙mesh Bidhuri, former West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh and former AAP minister Kailash Gehlot are in the fray.

Meanwhile, Congress has named Alka Lamba, ex-MP Sandeep Dikshit, ex-Delh♏i minister Haroon Yusuf and others 🔜in its fight for the capital.
