While the jury is still out on the Triber’s direct rivals, the Renault crossover will most likely be an alternative to cars like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10 as far their prices are concerned. The Renault Triber is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. As there’s still tꦺime before we put the Triber through a thorough road test, here’s how it’s specifications compare against these rivals.
Longest: Renault Triber
Widest: Renault Triber
Tallest: Renault Triber
Longest Wheelbase: Renault Triber
Highest Boot Space: Renault Triber
𝔉The Renault Triber is easily the biggest offering in this company not only in terms of exterior dimensions but wheelbase as well. The boot space of the Triber with all three rows up isn’t impressive but when you turn it into a five seater, like all other cars here, it increases to a massive 625 litres. In essence, the third row comes in handy not only for accommodating extra passengers but luggage as well. Over and above, the Triber’s seating layout has multiple configurations -- it can be turned into a 2-seatꦜer, 4-seater, 6-seater or even a 7-seater.
Engine Specifications
Most Powerful: Ford Figo
Torquiest: Ford Figo
Most Frugal: Maruti Swift
The Renault Triber 🦹has the smallest engine of the lot and as expected, it delivers the lowest power and torque output. That begs the question: will the Triber be able to haul seven passengers without getting bogged down? Wait for our first drive review of the Rena෴ult Triber for the answer. Like many of its rivals, even the Triber is available with a 5-speed AMT option. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Triber’s claimed figures matches that of the Swift and the Figo very closely.
Features
The Renault Triber’s equipment list comprises of projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tilt adjustable steering wheel and dedicated AC vents for all three rows. The Renault, however, misses out on fog lamps, steering-integrated controls, auto climate control, passive keyles♍s entry and height adjustable driver’s seat, which can be had on the rivals.
Safety Features
The Renault Triber will feature dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors as standard whereas the higher varian꧋ts will be equipped with front side airbags and rear parking camera. While the Triber offers two additional airbags on 😼the top variant, which are missing on the Swift and Grand i10, it is the Ford Figo that leaves them all behind with a total of six airbags in the top variant.
