- Saddlebags and top box might be offered as official KTM accessories.
- It comes shod with Continental TKC 70 dual-purpose tyres.
- Launch slated for end of 2019.
Just a month after it was first sighted testing on our roads, t൩he KTM 390 Adventure has once again been spied doing the test rounds. From the earlier sp♔y pics, we did get a fair sense of what the motorcycle will be packing. This time round, we go to see the new test mule was loaded with luggage systems. The saddlebags and top box were camouflaged as well, suggesting KTM might also be working on offering touring-spec accessories to go along with the mini adventure tourer.
The 390 Adventure is based on the 390 Duke but with heavy modifications to the foundations of the motorcycle. The trellis frame has been beefed up. The subframe section continues to be bꦫolted on like the Duke. However, it seems to be longer and wider than its naꦏked counterpart.
What we have also come to know is that the 390 Adventure will come shod with Continental TKC 70 tyres. From what we’ve seen so far, the motorcycle comes equipped with 19/17-inch alloys and these Continental dual-purpose tyres will hope to be ൩up to the task, both on- as well as off-road.
The wait for the 390 Adventure continues as it is not expected to arrive anytime sooner than t♏he last few months of 2019. We are hopeful that KTM gets the pricing strategy bang on like they have done with their other products. A smart guess would be that KTM prices the 390 Adventure just below the Rs 3 lakh mark (ex-showroom), which would undercut its major rivals, the BMW G 310 GS and the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, by a huge margin. We could also expect a more off-road focussed version, fitted with spoke rims and knobby tyres.
