Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer 'Gadar 2' is all set to clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer, 'Oh My God 2'. Both the films are hitting the silver screens on August 11. 'OMG 2' and 'Gadar 2' are both sequels to the hit films that 🐼weꦰre released in 2001 and 2012 respectively.

Now Utkarsh Sharma, who reprises his role as Jette in 'Gadar 2', spoke about the impending clash to India Today. Recalling how 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' was released along with 'Lagaan' and both created history, the actor said, “Now when 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' released together, it became like a celebration, it was like a mela. I feel this is very impo🤪ꦜrtant, especially post covid. The landscape that we saw in the last two years of films, it was so difficult for the entire market to understand what is working. So I feel when two big films come it should be celebrated. It's a long weekend, so people can catch both films."

Revealing how with 'Gadar 2', the makers have kept the ticket price low, and also started a one plus one offer from day one itself, Utkarsh added, “I feel that's a g🐠ood change and all those things are falling in the right place. 'Gadar' is a mass film and was watched ꦺby crores of people and they want to watch 'Gadar 2' now, so ticket price should not be an issue that is stopping them from reliving and seeing the new Gadar unfold before their eyes."

Questioned if he feels any box office pressure, Utkarsh said, &qu🍰ot;The first pressure that matters to me is the public's opinion, they are the most important people who will reme🐼mber you for your work. And yes, of course, numbers matter because people have invested money in the project and it's good if the movie makes money. Then you can make more movies and that's how the industry works.”

He signed off by saying that the market is large enough to sustain '🌊OMG 2' and 'Gadar 2', and ﷽he really wants both films to do well.
