Mumbai has been facing massive water cuts due to some maintenance work being done by the BMC. Most of the city faced massive water shortages on 💝January 30 and 31. While some parts of the city have been restored, even today, on February 1, there are some areas where the water flow is not as much as it used to be. One can understand that the maintenance work was important and couldn’t have been avoided.
However, this is causing problems for not just the commoners bu🐬t even the celebrities. Many celebs have spoken about the issues being faced due to water cuts in and across the city. Here’s what they have to say:
The same thing happened a month back in the Andheri area where we were told that we won’t have water for two days. This time so far, I haven’t faced it because I stored enough. I have learnt the lesson from last time since we were told it won’t be there for two days but the water shortage continued for 7 days. Water shortage did take a toll on my schedule and I had to cancel certain meetings because I had to stay in the house so that if the water came, I could store it. It's not a very great feeling when water, which is a very primary resource, is not there. In fact, I remember that I was very hungry and water was supposed to come in sometime and that's when I will cook and eat dinner but then I had to eat outside. But what about the people who stay below the poverty line, they can’t take these quick decisions of eating outside. I h🍒ave a strict diet but still, I had to go out and eat something because I was hungry.

Yes, we got a message that the𝐆re would be a water issue on the 30th and 31st of January. Since I stayed alone, I could manage but my house help couldn’t work because there was no water. Water is one of the most important resources and we don’t have to feel very weird. Especially after Covid I am so used to washing my hands again and again and when there was no water in the tap it was difficult. Since we got the message one day before I stored some in the buckets for use still without running water you face problems. Hope everything will be fine in a day.
If there is a water shortage even for a short time, everyone goes into a panic mode because water is required for every essential job at home from cleaning the home to making food, everything is related to the usability of water. When things like a shortage of water happen you do realise the importance of water and how important it is for us to be responsible for not wasting the water and making sure that we are using the required amount. We should make our kids responsible and make them understand that nobody can survive without water. When we were going through the pandemic, we had to wash our hands every now and then so imagin♏e what if there was no water what situation we could have faced? So, save water because it is something we can’t do without.

Yes, there was a water crisis but fortunately, my society and my area didn’t get to witness much. I stay in Mira Road and here anyways there is a slight scarcity of water which is pretty normal for all of us. But yes, since we are used to living with little less water, I try to save water as much as possible. I try to save water as much as possible. I close all the running taps and take care of 💞my plumbing so that there is no wastage🌳. So, it’s a request to all the people on this planet to save water as much as they can because we need it today, and we might not have it tomorrow.

Yes, we in Mumbai rarely witness water shortages and electricity power cuts. We were informed about this week's water shortage. Being the secretary of my building, we ensured we have enough water and have tankers on standby in case there is any issue with the shortage in supp❀ly. So far so good. We have managed. And I believe this stress is for another 2 or 3 day🅠s only so this shall be managed.
