Producer Ektaa Kapoor has scripted history as she has been honoured with the prestigious International Directorate Award at the 51st International Emmy Awards. The award ceremony was held in New York. It was presented by the renowned autho💛r and new-age leader, Deepak Chopꦗra. With this Ektaa became the first Indian to win the International Emmy Directorate Award.
Vir Das won big for his stand-up 'Landing'. He sha⛦red the win with 'Derry Girls Season 3'. Shefali Shah (Delhi Crime 2) and Jim Sarbh (Rocket Boys) lost in their respective categories.
Ektaa is on cloud nine for her feat. Post her win, she said in a statement, “I’m delighted to receive the prestigious Emmys Directorate Award! It brings me immense joy and happiness to be honoured at a global scale, such as this. I’ve always wanted to tell stories because they give me a chance to be heard, seen and represented.
