Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna had a promising start at the box office and saw growth in collections on Day 2 and Day 3, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in three days. However, on Day 4, it witnessed a significant drop of 50.52%. The film earned only Rs 24 crore on its first Monday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. So, the total collection of Chhaava stands at Rs 140.5 (nett) crore in four days. The worldwide gross collection of Chhaava is Rs 168.60 crore.
😼The period drama had an overall 31.62% Hindi occupancy on Monday, with maximum occupancy of 47.46% at night, followed by 34.12% occupancy in evening and 27.11% and 17.80% footfalls during the afternoon and morning screenings, respectively.
The first Monday collection of Chhaava is double the earnings of recent releases such as Akshay Kumar's Sky Force (Rs 7 crore), Shahid Kapoor's Deva (Rs 2.75 crore), Kangana Ranaut's Emergency (Rs 1.05 crore), Sonu Sood's Fateh (Rs 0.95 crore), Azaad (Rs 0.65 crore), Badass Ravikumar (Rs 0.6 crore) and Loveyapa (Rs 0.55 crore).
Chhaava🌄 is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky played Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
The film also starred 🥀Akshay Khanna and Diana Penty in lead roles. It has been directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh under Maddock Films.
