K-Pop band BIGBANG’s main rapper G-Dragon has officially parted ways with YG Entertainment and sign✤ed a new contract with Galaxy Corporation.

On December 21, the agency held a spec꧃ial press conference where they broke the news. The 'Cro⛄oked' singer himself was not physically present at the event. The director of Galaxy Corporation, Jo Sung-hae, shed light on G-Dragon's plans for next year. He said, “This press conference is meant to be a preparation step for G-Dragon, so that he may safely return and stand before the public after enduring difficult times."

The new agency emphasized G-Dragon's innocence in the infamous drug controversy, highligh𓂃ting that he was officially cleared of any involvement by the police. He was not found guilty. They strongly asserted that G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, had no connection whatsoever with the scandal.

According to K-media outlet, Sports News, the director said, “Despite Kwon Ji-yong having no connection to the recent drug scandal, he endured challenging times due to widesprea💫d speculations and rumors. To support the restoration of normalcy in the life of an innocent person, we kindly request refraining from associ🎀ating Kwon Ji-yong with any matters related to this drug scandal.”

The agency, now preparing for G-Dragon's comeback in 2024, stressed that they had no hesitation in signing the contract with the artist. The sole reason why it took so long was because they were awaiting confirmation from G-Dragon's previous agency, YG Entertainment. “Fortunately, yesterday, his former agency issued a statemenඣt extending well-wishes for Kwon Ji-yong's future, and we also convey our sincere appreciation to YG Entertainment. It is because of YG that the present Kwon Ji-yong exists.” YG Entertainment also acknowledged the same.

On the work front, the K-pop idol has 🌳already announced a 2024 comeback under the new label on his ཧsocial media.
