‘Salaar’, helmed by Prashanth Neel, has been raking in moolah ever since it was released on December 22. On its day 17th, the film’s box office collection remained consistent and the Saturday collections witnessed a slight jump. The film is, meanwhile, on its course to enter the Rs 400 crore club in India. The Prabhas starrer, o𒁏n its third Sunday, minted an estimated Rs 5.ꦆ75 cr, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
Coming to its overall third weekend, the film recorded good numbers and collected almost Rs 15 crore. The total of 'Salaar' now stands at Rs 392.94 crore all-India🔜. On the worldwide front, accoജrding to Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 589 cr globally after day 16, so with Sunday collected, the film’s collection now would be above Rs 600 crore.
While the film’s overall collections are huge, the film, despite its massive start, has underperformed. On its opening day itself, ‘Salaar’ minted Rs 90 crore from all versions. The film is now inching closer to cross the Rs 400 crore 𝐆mark in India, and it remains uncertain if it would complete its dream of entering the Rs 500 crore club.
With Telugu collections already below the Rs 1 crore range, it is mostly the Hindi ve🌃rsion which would be important for the film’s lifetime collection. Out of its Rs 5.45 crore third Saturday total, ‘Salaar’ made Rs 1.4 crore in Telugu and Rs 3.75 crore in Hindi. The film’s Hindi version, mea🙈nwhile, has collected Rs 144 crore so far.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film released December 22 and faced a cl🎀ash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’. Both the films, however, opened to average audience receptioꦇn. ‘Salaar’ collections are likely to now take a blow with the Pongal releases –’Guntur Kaaram’, ‘Captain Miller’, ‘Ayalaan’, ‘Hanuman’ – hitting the cinemas.
In the Hindi audience, the film will face Katrina Kaif-Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Merry Christmas’ and two weeks later, it w🐻ill battle it out with ‘Fighter’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
