Rafa Silva scored twšŸ’ƒice as Benfica handed Juventus its fourth loss in five matcheź§‘s with a 4-3 win Tuesday to seal a spot in the knockout stage.

In a wild first half, Benfica got goals from Anź§‘tĆ³nio SilvaāœØ, JoĆ£o MĆ”rio and Rafa Silva while all Juventus could produce was a momentary equalizer from Moise Kean.

Silva ā€” who recently announced his retirement from Portugalā€™s national team and will not play at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar ā€” added another goal early in the second half šŸøand also hit the post in the 86th.

Arkadiusz Milik pulled one back for Juventus in the 77tšŸ¬h and Weston McKennie added another two minutes later, with both late goals set up by substitute Samuel Iling-Junior.

ā€œItā€™s difficult to find words now. We are really disappointed,ā€ said Juventus midfielder Manuź§‹el Locatelli. ā€œIn the last 20 minutes we showed we can be a great team and we have to restart from that. The initial approach was wrong. We risked a bad defeat but the reaction in the final 20 minutes was good at least.ā€

Paris Saint-Germain, whiź¦“ch beat Maccabi Haifa 7-2 to also advance, and Benfica lead Group H with 11 points each. Juventus and Maccabi have three points each and wā›¦ill fight for third place and a Europa League spot.

Juventus visits PSG and Maccabi hosāœ…ts Benfica in the final round of group matšŸ”„ches next week.

Itā€™s the firsšŸ™ˆt time Juventus has failed to advance since the 2013-14 sešŸ¦©ason.

The exit ā„±from Europeā€™s top competition came a day after Juventus learned that club president Andrea Agnelli, vice president Pavel Nedved and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene are among 15 people placed under investigation for alleged false accounting and irregušŸ¤”larities in player transfers following a notification from the public prosecutorā€™s office in Turin.

Juventus issued a statement WednesdašŸ„‚y denying any wrongdoing with išŸ€…ts finances.

Itā€™s also an embarrassment foš“°r one of the few remainišŸ¬ng clubs clinging onto the idea of a European Super League.

And Juventus faces a struggle to return to the Champions League next season. While the Bianconeri have won two straight in Serie A, they still sitź¦— in eighth place in the Italian league ā€” with only the top four finishers qualifying.

ā€œThe first part of the season was certainly not good for us,ā€ Juventus coach Massimilź©²iano Allegri said. ā€œBut we have to react. We made too many mistakes tonight but itā€™s not useful to talk about that now. Iā€™m happy for the youngsteršŸ”œs, they all played well with the mental energy and the technique that we needed in that part of the game.ā€

Benfica went ahead 17 minutes in ą¼ŗwhen 18-year-old center back AntĆ³nio Silva headed past surpršŸ¦©ise Juventus starter Federico Gatti.

Kean then scored from close range but had to wait while the goal waš•“s initially waved off for offside before the decision was overturned by the VAR.

A debatable handball from Juan Cuadrado set up a penalty for JoĆ£o MĆ”rio and then Silva šŸ¦‹converted a backheel flick after an exchange with JoĆ£o MĆ”rio.

Silvaā€™s second came when he sprinted past Leonardo Bonucci and chipped over the charš„¹ging goašŸŒŸlkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.
