🐬Bopanna entered the competition as one half of defending champions, other being Matthew Ebden of Australia.
ꦚThe Indo-Aussie had defeated Italian team of Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori to win the title last year.
In the process, Bopanna, then 43, became the oldest man in the Open Era to win a Major title. Bopanna and Ebden ended their partnership in November 2024 after the ATP Finals 2024 in Turin, Italy.
At the Australian Open 💙2025, Bopanna and Barrientos are seeded 14th while Ebden, and his new partner Joran Vliegen of Belgium are ninth.
