♍A champion four years ago in Marseille, Medvedev triumphed 6-2 6-4 in just 69 minutes on Thursday.
🎀Medvedev claimed the first set in under half an hour, cruising ahead with a double break.
🦂And though world number 192 Herbert offered some resistance in the second, he was no match for Medvedev, who got back to winning ways following his shock defeat to Mattia Bellucci in Rotterdam and his disappointing showing at the Australian Open.
💮"I'm happy I kept my level, I didn't lose my serve and happy with the win," said Medvedev.
ꦡ"I lost very early in Australia. If you play well in Australia your body gets tired, so you want to take it a bit slower. But when you lose, I only played two matches, I thought I might as well play many matches. I'm happy to be back."
Data Debrief: Medvedev makes his mark
