In a historic first, India reached the medal match in skeet shooting as Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Singh Naruka finished tied for third place in the skeet mixed team qualification. India and China both had a total of 146 points, leading to a shoot-off to determine the final qualification standing and theꦛ bib number for the final. Maheshwari displayed excellent skill, hitting 74 out of 75 targets, while Anant achieved a score of 72 out of 75. The final is scheduled for 6:30 PM IST.

After her agonizing defeat in the quarter-finals, there is more disappointment in store for the Indian wrestler. Nisha Dahiya will not get a shot at repechage after her opponent Pak Sol Gum loses by technical superiority in her semi-fin🍨al bout. Whether or not Nisha would have been able to participate in the repechage was a question in itself, considering how painful her injury appeared. Here's hoping she recovers soon and is back to her best on the mat.

Badminton legend Prakash Padukone has not minced his words after Lakshya Sen missed out on a bronze medal narrowly at the Paris Olympics. "He needs to work a little bit, when he's playing with the wind. Everybody has a problem but I think he has more problem than others. If you saw the first ga💝me, the Malaysian played a lot of them and went out. You were not able to control so it happens but you must learn to control and make less mistakes.

"Mistakes will happen, everybody is comfortable playing against the wind because you can play freely without any hesitation but Lakshya probably needs both. A little bit of mind training plus a little bit of💯 practice and a little better control; he needs to work on the court as well," Paduওkone said of Sen to reporters.

Kenya's Faith Kipyegon, who had been disqualified for an apparent obstruction in the women's 5000m ♍final, has been reinstated to silver medal after an appeal from the nation. This means that the fin﷽al podium is Beatrice Chebet, Kipyegon, and Sifan Hassan, as confirmed by World Athletics.
