Norris, along with team-ma🐎te Oscar Piastri, led McLaren to their first constructors' championship since 1998 last year, with the Briton winning four races for the team.

His efforts, h💯owever, came up s♍hort in the drivers' championship as he finished second to Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who claimed a fourth consecutive world title.

Norris claimed his fourth race win in his F1 career at the season-ending Abu Dhab𒉰i Grand Prix, reaching the top-60 of drivers with the mos🌼t victories in the competition.

It was also McLaren's 189th overall win, having n🅰ot achieved six in a single calendar year since 2012 when Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button were behind the wheel (seven).

Though Norris said that finishing se𒉰cond to Verstappen hurt, he insis♉ted that he is ready to come back stronger this year to claim a maiden world title.

"When that realisation kind of sets in ꩵof 'it's gone', it's a tough one," Norris told the BBC podcast F1: Back at Base.

"This is what I've done since I was a kid, this is all I want to do. So, as soon as that kind of candle is gone, and it's ♉over, it h📖urts."

Norris' second place was his highest finish in the driveꦰrs' standings after he narrowed the gap to Verstappen in the final phase of the season.

He ignitedꦯ his title challenge with his first F1 victory at the Miami Grand Prix, signing off the campaign with eight pole posit𒁃ions in addition to his four wins.

Norris got within 47 points with four races to go, but Verstappen's stunning wet-weather win in Braཧzil gave him the opportunꦓity to secure the title at the following race in Las Vegas.

"It's been a year when, actually, I've been pretty proud of my performance. Proud of performing under the pressure that we've been under, deliveringཧ when I have," Norris said.

"I'v🙈e made my mistakeꦯs and, at the same time, I've learned a lot from those mistakes.

"So for us to go into next year, going 'we have what it takes, we have a car'... ཧI believe I'm a 🌌good enough driver, and I've got everything it takes.

"I'm excited to go into 2025 kn😼owing I've learned a lot, I've improved a lot, and I'm ready to bring the fight to everyone.

"Confidence is something I've struggled with in🤪 the past, and probably I've only built enough throughout this season to go 'I'm confident that I'm a good enough driver to win a championship next🐼 year' and I can bring a fight to whoever wants to fight me for it."
