The La Liga President has now stated that there's a possibility that football ♊stars Neymar and Lionel Messi, making a return to FC Barcelona.
ꦏThe La Liga president opened up on the star duo's potential return to Spain. Speaking to GiveMeSport Tebas said, "I think Messi wants to go back to Barcelona. He spent lots of years there. I am quite sure Messi will come back. Maybe as a player, but I can see him returning in another capacity as well.
🦩"Messi and Barcelona go hand in hand. His brand, and Barcelona's brand, are in many ways one and the same. He is in love with the club. Neymar is a different story. I don't think he will ever return to Barcelona. I am quite sure of that," he added.
Speaking of the star duo, Messi and Neymar spent four seasons together at Barca before the Brazilian's eye-catching move to Paris 🌄Saint-Germain in 2017. Four years later, Messi joined his friend in Paris after his contract with the Catalan club expired.
However in 2023, the duo parted ways with PSG. Neymar headed for Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal whereas Messi moved to Inter Miami 🥂in the Major League Soccer. Neymar who has had his fair share of injuries in Saudi, departed the club to join boyhood club Santos on a six-month.
📖However, Neymar has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona alongside Messi in the near future.
With Messi and Neymar's reported transfer hovering in the background, it remains to be seen whether the star duo's transfer would affect Hansi Flick's side title push in the La Liga, with the Catalans finding themselves in the race alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid
