The Paraguayan starred for the Five Stripes before joining Newcastlꦓe for £21million in January 2019 – then a club-record fee for the Magpies and the largest received by an MLS club.
He went on to make 186 Premier League appearances in six eventful years on Tyneside, scoring 23 go꧂als in the competition and assisting eight.
Overa🦹ll, he played 223 games for the Magpies, playing a prominent role in their successful bid for Champions League qualification in 🦄the 2022-23 season.
However, he had ♏been limited to just nine league appearances in 2024-25, and he has now penned a contract to run through 2027 in Georgia, with an option to extend that stay for a further year.
Atlanta have reportedly paid a fee of around £8m ($9.9m) foꦑr Almiron, who has been hailed for his profess🎐ionalism by Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.
"On behalf of the club, I want to thank Miggy for everything he has given us during our time together," Howe told Newcastle's media channel🎀s on Thursday.
"He has been the ultimate professional, and he has💖 been a big part o☂f some of our most memorable moments in recent seasons.
"He is a great person and we'll miss him greatly, but this﷽ is the right move at the right time for him and his family and we wish🎃 them well."
