𒀰Ter Stegen ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee during Barca's 5-1 victory over Villarreal in September.
🐈The Germany international underwent surgery, while Wojciech Szczesny came out of retirement the following month to deputise between the sticks.
𒉰However, Ter Stegen is nearing a return to full fitness, and Flick is pleased with his compatriot's progress.
ജ"He started training, a first step," he told reporters ahead of the Blaugrana's clash with Sevilla on Sunday. "He improved a lot. We are happy. Everything is on the right track."
🌊Third-place Barca are eyeing a third straight LaLiga win to maintain the pressure on leaders Real Madrid, who are four points clear ahead of facing rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
🍨Flick is expecting a tough test against 12th-place Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, but is pleased to be heading there with more available players, with the likes of Gavi, Dani Olmo and Inigo Martinez returning from injury.
🌊"Every game, you start from scratch," he added. "The atmosphere in the stadium is very nice. We have to play with our style, and that's what's important.
🐻"Now, we have the whole team playing very well. In the last games, they showed it and created a lot of chances. We have all the players who can play and, [on Sunday], we are also going with fresh legs."
