Luis De La Fuente Extends Contract With Spain To Euro 2028

De la Fuente first took charge of Spain in December 2022 following Luis Enrique's resignation af⛦ter Spain were knocked out of the 2022 World Cup on penalties by Morocco.

He also led Spain to the Nations League title iജn 2022-23, their first in the competition, before overseeing their Euro 2024 glory, in which they won all seven of their games in Germany, beating England 2-1 in the final.

De la Fuente has managed 23 games in charge of the national teamꦺ, losing just once (W20 D2), boasting an 86.96% win♎ rate across all competitions.

Since♎ he took over the ꦅside, they have also scored 55 goals while conceding just 14.

Spain are next in action on March 20, when they face the Netherlands in their Nations League quarter-final, having topped their qualification group at t🐟he end of last year.
