🦩Former Bayern Munich coach Nagelsmann took over on a two-and-a-half-year deal in September 2023, following the dismissal of Hansi Flick.

ꦉHe made a positive impact ahead of Euro 2024, which Germany hosted.

ꦜNagelsmann's team, which included young stars Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, reached the quarter-finals on home soil. They were knocked out by eventual champions Spain after a 2-1 extra-time defeat.

ಌTheir run to the last eight was their best at a major tournament since Euro 2016, when they reached the semi-finals.

💜While he was initially only due to stay on until just after the 2026 World Cup, Nagelsmann will now be in charge of the national team for another two years after that.

ꦯ"When I came to the DFB in September 2023, I could not have imagined being a national coach beyond the home Euro," Nagelsmann said.

🐟"This great feedback that we all receive every day, shows us that our journey together is on the right path. We want to win titles together."

🎉Germany are also one of the eight teams to have qualified for this year's Nations League finals.
