🦩An own goal from Manoj Mohammed helped East Bengal take the lead in 86th minute before Messi Bouli doubled their advantage just before the closing whistle.

෴The win keeps East Bengal at the eighth spot with 27 points from 22 games. They need to win their remaining couple of matches and hope for other results to go their way to help them make into the play-offs by finishing in the top six of the league stage.

🌄After some initial pressure from Hyderabad FC, East Bengal bounced back and made numerous attacks. However, the frontline of Red and Gold Brigade could not covert even one of the many chances that they kept creating throughout the game.

༺Despite a volley of attacks, Hyderabad's defence ensured the scoreline remains empty. However, the vigil ended just when it looked like Hyderabad had done enough. Manoj Mohammed misjudgement during the corner kick led to an own goal in the 86th minute and gave East Bengal the much needed opener.

⛎As Hyderabad put numbers in the attack to level the scores, East Bengal got another opportunity to score through a counter-attack. Saul Crespo and Messi Bouli joined hands to land the second goal in the added time of the second half for East Bengal.

East Bengal FC are set to play Bengaluru FC on March 2, whereas Hyderabad, who remain at the penultimate spot, will feature against Punjab FC on March 6.
