Speaking at a press conference to mark Bayern's 125th anniversary, sporting director Max Eberl also proposed♔ the notion of a salary cap to curb wage infla🅷tion across Europe.
Muller is one is several high-profile players who will be out of contract at the end of the season, alongside midfielder Joshua Kimmich, winger Leroy♌ Sane and defender Eric Dier.
Having come thr🧸ough the club's youth system, Muller has made 738 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 247 goals.
He has won 32 trophies including tw💞o Champions League crowns and 12 Bundesliga titles with the Bavarian giants, but has only started 11 matches this season.
Having played a diminished role this campaign, the 35-year-old has be🔯en touဣted for an exit, but Eberl says no decision has been made on his future.
"We will talk with Thomas, and then a decision will be made regarding the new season,"𝔍; Eberl said.
"Thomas is Bayern Munich, he's one of a kind. He lives for football and always 🐼wants to achieve everything."
This week, reports suggested Bayern are now unlikely to offer a new c꧅ontract to Kimmich due to his 🦹financial demands, and Eberl believes a salary cap in Europe's top leagues would be beneficial.
"It's a political question, a difficult question," Eberl said. "How do you want to regulate a free marke🌄t economy? Is that right?
"I spoke to Gianni Infantino about whether there is a chance that FIFA will go alonౠg with it. I think we need FIFA at the top to find a solu✃tion.
&𒉰quot;I'm always in favour of d👍iscussing, talking, and thinking. There are certainly topics that can be discussed. That should be part of a trial."
Kimmich is sidelined with a hamstring issue and is likely to miss Friday's trip🐬 to Stuttgart, but head coach Vincent Kompany is confident other players will step up.
&🍃quot; We will solve it with our squad. I have total confidence in the boys who have to play. Joshua is not the first to drop out. Just like the ot✤hers, hopefully he's not too long," he said.
"We have to solve this with the others who are 100%. We always showed a reaction when we had injured players in the꧂ squa🧸d. That's what we expect now.
"Playing away against last season's seco༒nd-pl🐟aced team is never easy.
"We've focused entirely on this match and haven't taken a single step less in our preparation because this game is very import🌺ant for us."
With title rivals Bayer Leverkusen not travelling to Eintracht Frankfurt until Saturday, Bayern have an opportunit🎐y to move 11 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
