PM Modi To Reach US Today | 6 Bilateral Meetings Scheduled, What's On The Agenda?

PM Modi is expected to reach Washington DC on Wednesday evening and according to news reports, there are si❀x bilateral meetings ahead of his arrival. PM Modi will also have a private dinner with President Trump on Thursday evening.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reach United 🥀States later on Wednesday after 𓄧his brief France visit. This will be PM Modi's first meeting with US President Donald Trump after the later assumed office after a landslide victory at the elections last last year.

PM Modi is expected to reach Washington DC on Wednesdaꦑy evening and according to news reports, there are six bilateral meetings ahead of his arrival. PM Modi will also have a private dinner with President Trump on Thursday evening.

Before leaving for the foreign land, PM Modi informed the public that he plan to talk about issues including technology, trade, defence, energy and supply chain resilience with President Trump.

When Is PM Modi Scheduled To Reach US?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive at the White House in Washington, DC on t🌳he evening of February 12, 2025.

His much-anticipated meeting with US official𓂃s will take place the follow📖ing day, February 13, 2025.

W🌳hile the date is confirmed, the exact time for the meeting is yet to be announced to public.

Meanwhile, a man called the Mumbai Police control room on Tuesday and claimed terrorists may attack Prime M✨inister Narendra Modi's aircraft during his visit abroad.

Mumbai Police later arrested the man from Chembur who allegedly 🐠𒉰made the threat call.

Where Will PM Modi Stay?

According to , the US authorities have arranged PM Mod♚i's stay at Blair House, the US Presidential guest house which is located right across the road from White House.

PM Modi Trump Agenda

Modi's bilateral meeting with Trump is anticipated to focus on key topics such as traﷺde, investment, technology, defense cooperation, counterterrorism, Indo-Pacific security, and people-to-people relations. The two leaders are also likely to address the situation in Bangladesh, along with other regional and global issues.

India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri during a press briefing ♏last week said that the prime minister's visit to the US at the invitation of President Trump, weeks after his inauguration, shows the "importance of India-US partnership and is also reflective of the bipartisan support that th📖is partnership enjoys in the US."

It will be a "valuable opportunity" to engage ꦰthe new administration in all areas of mutual interest, he added.

PM Modi will hold a bilateral meeting🍸 with President Trump in both restricted and delegati♒on-level formats, he said.

"There is an obvious convergence of interests between the t♋wo countries in a number of ♚areas -- trade, investment, technology, defence cooperation, counterterrorism, Indo-Pacific security, and of course, people-to-people relations," he said.

"The 5.4 million-strong Indian community in the US and the more than 3,50,000 students from India who are pursuing stuꦅdies in universities strengthen this bond immeasurably," Misri said.

"The prime minister's visit to the United States will give further direction and momentum to this important partnership. We expect a joint statement to be adopted at the end of the visit and will share that in due couܫrse," the foreign secretary said.

According to reports, the meeting between Prime Minister Modi and U.S. officials will be on PM Modi’s official social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and X. It will also be ♕available on the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official channels, the White House’s official portals, and leading Indian and global newsღ networks.

PM Modi On His Upcoming US Visit

In his departure statement ahead of his visit to France and the United States, Modi said his trip will also help develop an agenda to further elevate and deepen India's partn🍌ership with the US, including in the areas of technology, trade, defence, en🧸ergy and supply chain resilience.

He later said on X, "This visit will fu🐟rther cement India-USA friendship and boost ties in diverse sectors. I warmly recall working with President Trump during his first term and I am sure our talks will build ܫon the ground covered then."

Noting that it will be their first meeting since Trump's inauguration as the US president for a second term, Modi said in the departure statement that the two leaders will work together for the mutual benefit of the people of their countri🦩es and shape a better future for the world.

He said he looks forward to meeting "my fr🍨iend, President Trump".

Previously, PM Modi visited the USA in June 2017 and hosted President Trump for a state visit to India in February 2020𒀰.
