Mamata Banerjee Accuses BSF Of Allowing Infiltrators From Bangladesh Into India; Sukanta Majumdar Responds

At an🐽 administrative review meeti♒ng held at the state secretariat, Banerjee claimed that the BSF was permitting illegal migrants to enter through border areas in Islampur, Sitai, and Chopra, among others.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday accused the Border Security Force (BSF) of allowing infiltrators from Bangladesh to enter India, alleging that the BSF ꦅwas involved in attempts to destabilize the state.

At an administrative review meeting held at the state secretariat, Banerjee claimed that the BS🅠F was permitting illegal migrants to enter through border areas in Islampur, Sitai, and Chopra, among others. She also accused the BSF of engaging in acts of torture against the local population, and suggested that there was a broader political agenda behind these actions, hinting at a “blueprint of the central government.”

“We have received information tꦜhat the BSF is allowing infiltrators to cross the border into India. The BSF is torturing people and trying to destabilize the state,” Banerjee said. She claimed that the actions of the BSF were part of a deliberate attempt to harm the state's peace and stability.

The West Bengal CM made it clear that she desired peace on both sides of the borไder, emphasizing that the state maintains a good relationship with Bangladesh. She, however, insisted that the Centre’s involvement was behind the situation.

“There is a blueprint of the central government behind this. But goons are entering India. I want peace on both sides of the border,” Banerjee said, ꦆreiterating her concerns. She directed the state's Director General of Police (DGP), Rajeev Kumar, to investigate where these alleged infiltrators were staying after entering West Bengal, hinting at an escalation in the state’s security measures.

Banerjee also accused the BSF of attempting to place the blame for the infiltration on her government, stating that she would be writing a strongly worded letter to the Centr⛄e regarding the issue.

Abhishek Banerjee criticises Centre’s handling of Bangladesh situation

Meanwhile, TMC's senior leader and Mamat♈a B♎anerjee's nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, also made critical remarks against the Centre's handling of the situation in Bangladesh.

He accused the BJP-led central government of being “relatively silent” on the ongoing atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh, particularly Hindus. Speaking to the press on the sidelines of a health program in his constituency, Diamond Harbour, Abhishek Banerjee suggested that the state BJP leadership should press the central government to take a more vocalꦛ stance on the issue.

“The state BJP leaders who find fault with the TMC government on every matter are not talking about the inadequate response of the Narendra Modi government to the continuing atrocities on Hindus and other communities🌠 in Bangladesh,” he said.

Abhishek Banerjee further called on the people of West Bengal to remain calm and peaceful, urging them not t♕o give in to forces trying to stir unrest by using the Bangladesh situation as a pretext for violence.

“If the BJP leaders here are so concerned about the torture and abuse of minorities in the neighbouring country, why don’t they ask their governm🎃ent in Delhi to respond appropriately?” he asked.

Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar responds to Banerjee's allegation

Union mini𒈔ster and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar defied the claims made by the West ﷺBengal CM and said that Mamata Banerjee has reached the “ultimate level of delusion”.

“The failed chief minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee has reached the ultimate level of delusion. Despite not providing land to set up outposts for border surveillance, she used to blame the Border Securit🥀y Force for illegal infiltration. But now, crossing all limits of accusations, she has started blaming her own administration's officials,” Majumdar wrote on ༒X.

Majumdar alleged that ꧙accorꦚding to Banerjee, the “incompetent” district magistrates and superintendents of police under her administration are allowing foreign criminals to infiltrate the border to kill the elected representatives of her party.

“Until now, she used to hold the opposition responsible for such incidents. But💫 why this sudden shift in Mamata Banerjee's narrative? Is she trying to shield the misdeeds of her party's looter, criminal represe♎ntatives by making such claims?” the member of Parliament from West Bengal's Balurghat asked.

“Honourable madam Mamata Banerj🌄ee, do not forget that the people of Bengal have seen through your deceit and cunning. You have tarnished the sanctity of West Bengal. Your departure is imminent,” he added.
