โ˜‚Amid the ongoing row over YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's objectionable remarks on comedian Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent, the Mumbai Police have so far recorded the statements of seven persons, including social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, other social media influencers and Allahbadia's manager.

๐ŸงธIn view of the massive uproar, Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, issued an apology on Monday acknowledging his โ€œlapse of judgment". The YouTuber also confessed that โ€˜comedy is not my forteโ€™ in his video apology. On Wednesday, Samay Raina deleted all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel.

Mumbai Police, Assam Police: Double Trouble For Allahbadia

๐’‰ฐOn Tuesday, Mumbai Police reached Ranveer Allahbadia's residence following the controversy. Social media influencer Allahbadia is likely to appear before the city police in a day or two, they said.

๊ฆ…In a double trouble for the social media influencer, Assam Police has also summoned Allahbadia and another popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani. According to ANI, the summons will also be served to Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, and Samay Raina.

๐Ÿ… A team of Assam Police visited Khar police station in Mumbai on Wednesday and also met senior police officials after the Guwahati Police on Monday registered a case against Allahbadia and four others.

๐Ÿ…ฐThe Maharashtra Cyber Department has summoned more than 40 persons, including Allahbadia and comedian Samay Raina, who hosts "India's Got Latent", asking them to join the probe into a case registered over Allahbadia's controversial remarks on the YouTube reality show.

๐Ÿ™ˆThe cyber police, which has registered a First Information Report (FIR) in the case, issued notices on Tuesday to the social media influencer and others including 'guests' and 'judges' who had participated in the past episodes of "India's Got Latent".

๐ŸทThe National Commission for Women (NCW) on Tuesday asked Allahabadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani, as well as the show's producers Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra to appear before it on February 17 in New Delhi.

Parliamentary Panel Discuss The Issue

๐Ÿฅ€Several members of a parliamentary committee on Thursday raised the issue of social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia's crass comments, calling for strict action and strengthening measures to curb such incidents.

BJD MP Sasmit Patra ๐Ÿงธsaid several members cutting across party lines raised the issue and expressed the need to take stringent measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur.

The committee, which is headed by BJP ๊ฆ‡MP Nishikant Dubey, is likely to write the Information and Broadcasting Ministry on the issue.

๐ŸผBJP MPs Anil Baluni, V D Sharma, Lahar Singh Siroya and Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi were among those who raised the issue, as per PTI.

Old Video Making Rounds On Social Media

๐ŸƒAmid the spiraling row, another video of Allahbadia breaking down over his "loss of work" is making rounds on social media where the popular podcaster is seen saying, "I just feel I am guilty. I feel bad because all the work has stopped. I exposed the entire team. Because of me, all the work has stopped."

๐Ÿ’ฆWhile netizens initially considered the video as Ranveer's reaction to his latest legal troubles, fact-checking sites identified the video as an old one that he shared after testing positive for coronavirus three years ago.
