India celebrated its 76th Republic Day celebrations under the theme of 'Swarnim Bharat –Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Legacy and Progress) which highlights India’s rich cultural legacy and hopes for a brighter future. This year, the grand parade will be attended by the Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as the chief guest. The celebrations begin with the iconic parad🌟e at Kartavya Path set to lead the celebrations. The parade commen𝓡ces with PM Modi's visit to the National War Memorial.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US Secretary of State ෴Marco Rubio and other leaders extended their greetings.
In a post on X, PM Modi said: “Happy Republic Day! Today, we celebrate 75 years of our Republic. We pay tribute to the visionary men and women who crafted our Constitution, ensuring our journey is founded on democracy, dig꧂nity, and unity. Let this occasion inspire us to redouble our efforts in safeguarding these ideals and working towards a stronger, more prosperous India.”
In a press statement, Rubio, while giving his greetings, said that the partnership between the United States and New Delhi continues to reach newer heights and will be a defining relationship of the 21st century. “On behalf of the United States ofꦗ America, I congratulate the people of India as they celebrate their nation’s Republic Day. As they commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, we join them in recognizing its enduring significance as the foundation of the world’s largest democracy,” Rubio said.
Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday extended their greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Republic Day, emphasising the importance of upholding and protecting the democratic principles and constitutional values of the country. In a message, the Governor observed that democracy has been a part of our culture and tradition for thousands of years, stressing the need to uphold and protect democratic principles at a꧅ll costs. He claimed that while democratic values are being undermined worldwide, India and the state of Kerala continue to move forward with the principles of democracy. In his Republic Day message, CM Vijayan urged people to stand united for the nation's bright and prosperous future. He underscored the importance of growing as a society where equality, justice, secularism, and brotherhood flourish.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday extended greetings to people on the occasion of India's Republic Day. The Governor hoisted the national flag at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. “On the 🅷occasion of the 76th Republic Day, I have great pleasure in conveying my Greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Republic Day is a day of remembrance aღs well as of re-dedication. It is a day of re-dedication to the noble ideals of truth, non-violence, peace," Nazeer said in a post on X. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday congratulated the 🐻people of the state on the 76th Republic Day and appealed to everyone to resolve to follow duties listed in the Constitution.
