To manage this, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a sophisticated seven-tier security system. 🍒At the core of this security framework are the extensive personnel and resources dedicated to the event. More than 10,000 police officers, in collaboration with the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), will be deployed. These forces will be spread across the vast area of the Mela, providing 24/7 vigilance at key locations, including temples, the sacred Sangam area, and busy pilgrim pathways.

A state-of-the-art multi-disaster response vehicle has been deployed, equipped with heavy lifting tools, cutting equipment, and victim location cameras. Enhanced River Security: Protecting Pilgrims in the Sacred Waters

To this end, the Uttar Pradesh government has deployed over 3,800 Water Police personnel, who will work around the clock to patrol the rivers and monitor any potential threats to the safety of pilgrims.

♔The Water Police will be equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including underwater drones, sonar systems, and emergency response boats. Eleven FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) speedboats will be stationed to provide rapid response in case of emergencies. In addition, four Anaconda motorboats equipped with changing rooms and a fleet of water ambulances will be ready to respond to medical emergencies on the water.

♓Deep-water barricades have been set up along an 8-kilometer stretch of the river to ensure that pilgrims are safe from any potential hazards, while special rescue teams are on standby at floating rescue stations. With more than 3,000 life jackets, 440 lifebuoys, and 100 diving kits available, the Water Police will be well-equipped to respond to any water-related incidents.

Comprehensive Security Across Land, Water, and Air

💃To ensure that the event is secure across all domains, extensive coordination has taken place between the police, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and other security agencies. Mock drills and equipment demonstrations have been conducted to ensure that every security detail is in place and ready for deployment.

൲In addition to the 40% increase in security personnel compared to previous Kumbh Melas, the security forces will have access to advanced technologies such as drones, anti-drone systems, and remote-controlled vehicles. Lost and Found: Reuniting Families
