'Dunki' Box Office Collection Day 12: Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Inches Closer To Rs 200 Crore On New Year

Shah Rukh Khan starrer will easily cross the RšŸ’«s 200 crore mark today. It has already crossed Rs 350 crore worldwide.

'Dunki', that released on December 21, opened with Rs 29 crore. The first week's collection was Rs 160.22 crore. In the second week, it witnessed a revival. The second week was great for Shah Rukh Khan starrer as both Saturday and Sunday saw growth in its collections. On New Year, on Day 12, 'Dunki' earnšŸØed Rs 9. 25 crore nešŸ’–t in India as per early estimates as per a report in Sacnilk.

It is inching closer to the Rs 200 crore club in India as the total domesticĀ box office collection for Rajkumar Hiraniā€™s 'Dunki' stands at Rs 196.97 crore on day twelfth of its release. It had an overall 30.āœƒ80% Hindi occupancyĀ š”‰on the second Monday.Ā 

Reportedly, the overseas collection stands at Rs 145 crore and the domestic gross at Rs 225.25 croź¦šre, making the total collectišŸ”Æon of Rs 370.25 worldwide.

According to RešŸŽ‰d Chillies Entertainment, 'Dunki'Ā has raked in Rs 380.60 crore globally. The latest numbers for Day 12 from overseas are yet to come. It will come later in the day.

'Dunki' is SRK's maiden collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani. Earlier, in an interview with PTI, the 'Sanju' director opening up about the response toĀ the film, said,Ā "Of course, commercial success matters to me but I try not to focus on it ašŸŒ t all because the moment you start focusing on it, then you start colouring the kind of film you want to make...''.

He added, ''IĀ take three or fouā™r years to make a film. This time I took five years to make a story. It should be like... let me make this film whatever the fate of the film is. Soā™‘metimes you will get a universal audience, sometimes you will get an audience which is in smaller pockets. India is a massive country and there will be all kinds of audiences liking all kinds of films''.

The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu,ą“œ Boman Irani, Vikraį€£m Kochhar and Anil Grover in pivotal roles.Ā
